Looking stunning: Gal Gadot, who rose to international fame with her role in Wonder Woman, recently modeled various outfits from BOTANICA: Blue Book 2022. Apart from her modeling career, she is currently working on an upcoming project – a remake of the classic Alfred Hitchcock romance thriller, To Catch A Thief, which was originally based on a novel by David Dodge. The original movie starred Cary Grant and Grace Kelly in lead roles. Interestingly, Gal will not only act but also serve as a producer for the film, along with her husband, Jaron Varsano, as per a report by The Wrap. This is not the first time Gal has ventured into Old Hollywood territory, as she has other similar projects in the pipeline.
The stunning Gal was adorned in stunning and intricate diamond-centric jewelry pieces from a renowned legacy brand. These included brooches, earrings, a necklace, and a bracelet. Gal is not just an actress but also a producer of an upcoming Cleopatra movie, which has faced backlash due to her being white while playing the legendary queen of Egypt. Although Cleopatra was ethnically Greek, many have criticized the casting of white actresses in the role, which is considered “whitewashing.” Gal spoke about this controversy in a recent interview with BBC Arabic, pointing out that Cleopatra was actually of Macedonian descent if one were to stay true to the facts.
“I feel incredibly honored,” exclaimed Gal as she recently completed a photoshoot. This shoot took place just two months after WWD reported that she was signed by Tiffany & Co. to be the face of their High Jewelry line. Gal, who is also a co-producer for her upcoming film, spoke about her search for a Macedonian actress who could fit the role of Cleopatra. However, she couldn’t find one and decided to take on the role herself. “I want to celebrate the legacy of Cleopatra and pay homage to this historical icon whom I admire so much,” she added. Gal even went on to challenge other filmmakers to come up with their own versions of the story. Originally, her Wonder Woman director, Patty Jenkins, was supposed to direct the film. But now, Kari Skogland has taken over the job.
In the movie industry, Patty has a lot of exciting projects in the works. One of them is a remake of the classic romance thriller, To Catch A Thief, which starred the legendary duo, Cary Grant and Grace Kelly. Patty will continue to produce films while also venturing into directing, including the highly anticipated Wonder Woman sequel. Gal Gadot, who plays Wonder Woman, recently talked about her upcoming role as Cleopatra. She promised that the film would not only showcase how alluring and captivating Cleopatra was but also highlight her intelligence, strategic thinking, and enduring influence on the world today. Despite the various Cleopatra adaptations throughout history, Gal believes that this new film will tell the story that the world needs to hear.
Gal’s rise to stardom has been marked by controversial casting choices, with her previous role as Wonder Woman causing a stir due to her past service in the Israel Defense Forces. Cleopatra is just the latest example of this trend.
